Live HR Case Support for Employers
Disciplinary, grievance, whistleblowing, investigation, outcome and appeal support when a workplace issue is already live and you need calm, experienced HR judgement.
When an employee issue is already moving, it can be hard to know whether the process is fair, whether the evidence is enough, what should happen next, or whether the situation has already become higher risk. Thrive HR UK supports employers with live HR cases where the process needs to be clear, careful and defensible.
A case is already live and you want to get it right
You do not need to handle it in isolation. The safest first step is often to get the key documents reviewed, understand the risk, and decide what should happen next.
Start with a Document & Scope Review
Most live HR cases benefit from a structured first step. For £195, I review the key documents and provide a clear view of where things stand.
The review will be honest. If there are gaps, process concerns or uncomfortable risks, I will say so clearly so you can make an informed decision about what to do next.
If you proceed to fuller support for the same matter, the £195 review fee can be credited against the full fee.
Before the review is confirmed, I will let you know what documents I need, how they should be shared, and the expected turnaround.
A clear view of where things stand, including:
A paid professional review — not a free suitability check and not a deposit.
How Thrive can support you further
Investigations
Support with investigation planning, evidence review, question planning, interview preparation, report structure or acting as an external investigator where appropriate.
Outcomes
Support with reviewing draft outcome letters, testing the reasoning, identifying gaps and helping make sure the decision is clear, balanced and supported by the evidence.
Appeals
Support with reviewing appeal grounds, assessing the process so far, chairing or supporting the appeal and preparing a written recommendation on the appeal outcome.
Appeal chair/support and written recommendation work usually starts from £950, with the final fee confirmed once the documents, complexity and remit are understood.
Fair, reasoned and defensible decisions
This support is not about rubber-stamping a decision that has already been made, or acting as a hired gun in a workplace dispute.
My role is to help you understand the process, evidence, risks and options so that any decision reached is fair, well-reasoned and properly supported.
What I will usually need to understand
You do not need everything perfectly organised before getting in touch. Send a short summary of where things are up to, and I can confirm what would be needed next.
FAQ
Can you chair an appeal?
Yes, where appropriate. I would usually start by reviewing the appeal grounds, the process so far and the relevant documents before confirming whether I can chair or support the appeal.
Can you act as an external investigator?
In some cases, yes. This depends on the nature of the issue, the documents involved, availability and whether external investigation support is proportionate.
Will you tell us if the process has gone wrong?
Yes. The review is intended to give you an honest view of the process, including any gaps, risks or concerns that need to be addressed.
What if you review the documents and decide you cannot help further?
If, after reviewing the documents, I think further Thrive support is not appropriate, I will say so clearly. That may be because the process is too compromised, the matter needs legal advice, there is a conflict, or another route would be more suitable.
The £195 fee covers the document and scope review itself, including the recommendation on what should happen next. If you proceed to fuller support for the same matter, that fee can be credited against the full fee.
Should I send the documents now?
No. Please start with a short summary through the enquiry form. If a document review is appropriate, I will confirm how to share the relevant papers.
Is this legal advice?
No. Thrive HR UK provides practical HR support informed by employment law and good HR practice. Where legal advice is needed, I will say so.
