Employment contracts, handbooks and HR documents for small businesses
If you’re hiring staff or tidying up your HR foundations, you shouldn’t have to guess which documents you need. Thrive HR UK helps you work out what belongs in your contract, what should sit in your handbook, which policies you actually need and what onboarding paperwork will help you manage new starters properly.
Tell me what’s happeningIf you need contracts, you probably need the connected documents too
I’ve already thought through the order, the gaps and how the pieces fit together — so nothing important falls through the cracks.

Why I scope before quoting
Controlled versions, clearly explained
Documents are issued as controlled versions at the point of delivery. Ongoing updates, annual refreshes and documentation maintenance are not included unless separately agreed.
Where a relevant updated version or refresh route becomes available, previous clients may be offered the option to purchase an update or a discounted refresh.
Contracts & documents — common questions
No. This isn’t a template shop. Every document is written for your business, your roles and your way of working, with advice on what you actually need and why. You receive finished, controlled documents, not blank forms to complete yourself.
No. Documents are issued as controlled versions at the point of delivery. There’s no subscription, no “always up to date” promise and no automatic maintenance. If the law or your business changes and you’d like a refresh, that can be arranged separately.
Because contracts rarely sit on their own. A contract points to policies; a handbook keeps the contract manageable; onboarding paperwork makes day one work. I’ll tell you honestly which pieces you need now and which can wait.
I scope first. The starting prices give you a realistic floor, then the final figure depends on things like the number of roles, whether existing documents need reviewing, handbook complexity and any sector-specific risks. You’ll have a clear quote before any work begins.
Yes. If you’ve inherited or drafted documents, I can review them, tell you where the gaps and risks are, and tidy them into a coherent, controlled set.
Not sure which documents you need?
